Here at Go Plant ltd we’ve recently invested in Allison’s 3000 series fully automatic transmissions for 15 new road sweepers. This move is aimed at reducing life cycle costs and to the improve the vehicle driveline. In previous sweepers (AMTs) this can be affected by a high level of wear and tear during operations, incurring regular maintenance costs. These new vehicles are part of our larger plan to increase our fleet of sweepers, with a large increase in its size already occurring in the first quarter of 2015. The Allison Transmission system has shown itself to easy to use and extremely effective at the low speeds required for our sweeping projects.
Our fleet of 300 sweepers operates throughout the UK on a diverse range of different projects in the both local authority and private sector markets. Aiden Garvey the regional manager stated that this breadth of jobs means that the vehicles must be ‘robust and reliable, regardless of the different drivers that operate them’, and we believe that these new additions will live up to these demands. Our sweepers are available on short and long term hire and our fleet includes pedestrian sweepers, operated sweepers, self drive sweepers, street cleansers and refuse collection vehicles. Our aim is to build effective partnerships with our customers and if required vehicles can be specified and costed to your specific needs and requirements.
