Go Plant Training Centre Awarded ‘Direct Claim Status’ for NVQs

The Go Plant Training Centre opened its doors on 6th April 2018 and since then, in just four months, we have progressed to Direct Claims Status for NVQ claims.

This means that once the candidate portfolios are completed, they are internally verified, by our Internal Quality Assurer then the NVQ can be directly claimed by ourselves. Our NVQ assessors will still collate evidence obtained from the candidates into portfolios, once this is all mapped and checked it can be submitted for verification.

Previously, this whole process had to be internally verified and then externally verified by NOCN, our external education partner before claiming the NVQ qualification.

Random sampling every six months will continue to be checked externally by NOCN for verification. With Direct Claims this allows our Internal Quality Assurer to apply for a ‘blue skilled worker’ CSCS card a lot sooner. The Blue Skilled Worker Card is quickly becoming an industry recognised standard, so this process is a great benefit to Go Plant Limited.

The training centre team is made up of Adam Wilson (Training Centre Manager), Ruth Bryant (Assistant Centre Manager/Internal Quality Assurer), Lee Perry (NVQ Assessor), Melville Hubbard (NVQ Assessor) and Paul Jones (NVQ Assessor).

We are very proud that we are our own training centre and that due to hard work by the whole team we have progressed so far in such a short time.
