Go Plant is marking success after supporting one of the UK’s most prestigious events which celebrates speed and vintage splendour.
The company’s Southern Service Centre has worked alongside the team behind the Goodwood Vintage Revival for four years, during which time it has provided one of its large, high-tech mechanical road sweepers to two of the show’s main events, including the Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival.
During the hugely popular annual show – which welcomes thousands of motoring and vintage vehicle enthusiasts from across the UK and beyond – Go Plant’s VT651 road sweepers are employed first thing in the morning to clear the site, and then kept on standby as a contingency for any accidents on the hill climb race.
Shaun Smithson, Business Development Manager at Go Plant, explained: “This event brings so many enthusiasts together who are all keen to experience the bygone days of motor racing, so it’s really important for us to maintain a clean and safe environment at all times. Naturally, there’s an increased chance of accidents during the races, so our vehicles really come in to play when we have to clear the route of foreign objects and debris.”
