Keen to show their support for the family-orientated ‘Manchester Day’ celebrations, staff from the North West Service Centre worked hard to transform the commissioned road sweepers into giant bumblebees – complete with furry black and yellow stripes and transparent wings.
“Manchester was a real hive of activity last month, with more than 50,000 people descending on the city for the annual Manchester Day celebrations,” said Shaun Wilson, Manager of Go Plant’s North West Service Centre. “The team had great fun decorating and operating the vehicles, and the feedback from those who attended the event really was fantastic.”
Launched in 2010, Manchester Day has now become one of the North West’s flagship events of the summer, celebrating the creativity and diversity of Manchester.
“We’re delighted to support the city in hosting a diverse range of events, including Manchester Day and the upcoming Manchester Pride, and look forward to playing a role in many more cultural events to come,” concluded Shaun.
