Apprenticeship Vacancies

Here at Go Plant Fleet Services, our vision is "To be the UK market leading 'go to' specialist fleet provider for a safe, reliable and professional service".

HGV Technical Apprenticeships

Go Plant Fleet Services offers the very best training and development through our HGV technical apprenticeship scheme.  It’s our aim to ensure that our apprentices have the skills and experience required to deliver our services for many years to come.

Over recent years recruitment for people with the specialist skills we require has become increasingly challenging. To ensure the ongoing success of our company in providing an exceptional maintenance service to our customers, we are fully committed to investing in employee development with the next generation of Heavy Goods Vehicle Technicians being a key part of this strategy. With an organisational history stretching back over 40 years we have highly skilled and experienced staff across our wide network of Service Centres who are keen to pass on their skills and experience to all of our apprentices.

We partner with Remit who have a proven track record of delivering high quality training in this field.  Our apprentices benefit from the state-of-the-art training facility in Derby where, alongside fellow apprentices, they attend residential weekly block training receiving high quality hands-on training with some of the best trainers in the industry.

Our apprentices have the opportunity to work hands on with a wide range of vehicles, anything from a 3.5t van, a pedestrian sweeper, right up to a highway vehicles worth £250,000, keeping the job varied and interesting.

Office Based Apprenticeships

Go Plant Fleet Services places great emphasis on developing our people in all work settings and we have a number of our employees undertaking apprenticeships to support their job roles.

Partnering with Loughborough College we have provided development opportunities for our people working in Finance, IT, Health & Safety, Human Resources, Office / workshop Administration and Customer Service, so the opportunities for learning and development are accessible and actively encouraged.

For those looking to move into supervisory or managerial roles there is also the opportunity to enrol onto an ILM accredited apprenticeship course to help the transition into leadership roles within the organisation.

We have a highly successful track record in developing and retaining our apprentices with the vast majority staying and progressing within our company.  Our culture stems from our beliefs of Trust, Safety First, Together Matter and Wowness.  We encourage all our employees to live by these throughout our working day and to work towards achieving our vision to be the leading ‘Go To’ specialist fleet provider for a safe, reliable and professional service.
