JULY 2011 : GPL STILL CLEAR LEADERS
July saw the yearly Rounders match played between GPL and it's parent company Davidsons Developments Ltd take place. With personal pride at stake the match was fiercely played but always with a friendly and fun spirit. GPL eventually ran out clear winners under a rehashed version of Cricket's Duckworth and Lewis ruling after rain stopped play. Davidsons team captain Jason Glover was quoted as saying "Unfortunately the weather will prevent any further play taking place, we therefore gracefully admit defeat to Go Plant".
A Hog roast and drinks soon lifted any dampened spirits with a great turnout from both companies.
